Wowwww. Thee best doughnuts I’ve ever had! The quality is phenomenal. There’s something about the dough that makes it taste so friggin fresh and homemade! Dunkin and Krispy ain’t got nothing on this place!!! The ability to fill your doughnut with whatever you want is crazy. There’s so many different options and variations. Just get the dozen، don’t get anything less!

Came for the kolaches because its really the only place to get one outside of Buc-ee's in Florida. They're a Texas staple that I grew up with. Its a good size and the sausage is flavorful. But there's a sticky sweet glaze on top of the bread. I asked if it was a glaze، they said it was not، but it is something along those lines. Im not a fan of this، as kolaches are normally not coated in some sticky sweet coating. Ive gotten their kolache before without the sweet coating and it was great! Coming back again to this version، I was disappointed. Just be aware if you like kolaches. Their donuts are good، huge variety in speciality، I enjoy the cereal topped ones. Coffees are also good، gotten the mocha and it was strong. Having oat milk as a replacement option is awesome.

I picked up a croissant and a hot oatmilk latte a little after 11:00am on a Tuesday. In my experience، this is the best traditional croissant in this area. It's very large، the size gives it a lot of beautiful، buttery layers. I gave it a solid 4 stars، as 5 would require the layers to be perfectly even and the butter to be a little stronger in flavor (you have to go to Altamonte to find that 😉). The latte was good، although it could have been a little warmer. I did try a sip before leaving the location. I'll definitely be back for another croissant، and maybe I'll grab a few donuts too.

The donuts themselves land in a similar place. The shop has clearly mastered consistency in its dough، producing a reliable texture from one visit to the next، and that deserves credit. Yet the flavors fail to come together. The glaze، in particular، carries a persistent floral note that distracts rather than enhances، pulling attention away from the donut instead of complementing it. The components feel assembled rather than harmonized، leaving the overall impression disjointed. The dining area is surprisingly large for a shop of this size، but it is not especially welcoming. A wall-length bench with thin cushions meets hard metal chairs across the room، creating a space that favors capacity over comfort. Sound travels easily، and when the line forms—without a clear place to wait—the room compresses into a single، noisy mass. It becomes less a café and more a holding area. Despite these shortcomings، 88 Donuts maintains a steady stream of customers، and clearly satisfies a local appetite for variety and convenience. For me، however، it is not a destination. The donuts leave too much to be desired، and the experience never quite comes together. My rating: ★★★☆☆ 1 star — I will never return. 2 stars — If nearby، I might return، but without urgency. 3 stars — Worth a visit if in the area، though not a destination in itself. 4 stars — Worth going out of your way to enjoy. 5 stars — I would fly around the world for this meal.

I finally stopped into 88 Donuts after driving by for weeks، and I’m so glad I did! The shop sits back a little from the road، so if you don’t know it’s there، you might miss it، but there’s a nice، clear sign out front. It was quiet on this Tuesday morning، and there are a few cute little tables inside where you can sit and enjoy your treats. The display case is full of delicious baked goods، and they have a really fun DIY donut concept: you choose your donut and fill it with any flavor you like. I went for the Key Lime Pie donut، which was absolutely delicious! I also tried their Apple Fritter، Monkey Bread–style donut، and a breakfast bread filled with sausage. That breakfast bread was surprisingly great، next time I’ll warm it up when I get home because I can tell it would be even better that way. The donuts were fresh and flavorful، and the whole place has a charming، cozy vibe، perfect for a quick grab-and-go or to sit with a friend. They have a small selection of beverages too، which I’ll definitely try next time. Jacob took care of me and was super friendly، he explained all the offerings in the display case and made me feel welcome. I’ll definitely be back to try more.
