Benchmark West Apartments

I recently moved in and I can say I am enjoying it within the first month. I will also say at first I was skeptical as a first time tenant، but they made it relieving and stress free. Miss Wendy is a very nice woman، she gets things done. Along with their maintenance team. I love them. Very kind، very friendly people. Highly recommended on my end، and I believe it will stay that way. (I'll let you guys know if anything changes but I doubt it) Come move in to your freshly renovated apartment.

just recently moved in here and i love it already! the leasing office made sure to make my move in process quick and easy. they answered all of my questions in a timely manner and any issues that i had they made sure to address them.

When we first arrived at this complex، it was West Benchmark، and the managers were amazing. The units were not bad but also not very good. We had a significant roach problem، and pest control efforts were ineffective. I took matters into my own hands and purchased roach baits، which، with perseverance، helped us get rid of them. After 8 month، another company (Chasen) bought the complex and began renovating it to make it beautiful. During the renovation، we experienced significant noise and water outages. Things got worse when we had water intrusion from our bathroom ceiling. The new manager didn't seem to care much، and despite multiple visits to his office، the issue persisted. Our bathroom developed mold until we reached out directly to the company. Since many units were empty during renovation، homeless people tried to enter the complex at night، which was very scary. The company somehow compensated for the issues with our previous unit by reducing the rent price for the new units. The new units themselves are renovated and beautiful، but there is currently no responsible manager or maintenance team. I saw someone in a managerial role about 2 weeks ago، so I hope this indicates an improvement. There have been incidents، including a shooting، and homeless people have been seen wandering around. Fences have been put up، which has improved the situation. The new unit doesn't have a roach problem، but I am very cautious. Whenever I see one، I place many baits، and so far، it has been effective.

Beautiful units، large kitchens the management has changed and Wendy is very involved with her tenants. Cozy place to live very close to FSU.

I moved out 3 months ago and this so called company "Chasen Management" is illegally keeping my security deposit. Every time I contact them they say that the finance department is working on it but that is a lie. Stay away from this place. Since this company from Baltimore bought this building it has been a nightmare. I had several issues living there and they don't even have a manager or someone in town to take care of it. They will just collect your rent and disappear. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
