Bonita Fish Company

The atmosphere is wonderful. It's clean and overlooks the water. We enjoyed the appetizer of clams with wonderful broth and bread. My husband had blackened fish and a salad، and thickly cut onion rings، I had a burger with the trimmings and fries. All of the food was delightfully good! Our server، Skylie، was on top of her game، she offered suggestions، knew the menu and she provided excellent، attentive service. We will definitely go again!

Excellent lunch! The shrimp and grits were amazing and perfectly cooked. They had a hint of southwestern green chilli flare، craving them still! The grouper tacos were excellent، fresh، and full of meaty fish! The orchid drink was refreshing and delicious. Can’t wait to return. Easy 5 stars.

First time visiting Bonita Fish Company. Food was very good. We had calamari appetizer، burger and grouper sandwiches and key lime pie for dessert. Delicious! Great view، we were seated right on the bay. Kaitlyn was our server. Very knowledgeable and great service! Would definitely go again.

I didn’t know this was a restaurant because Gugle has it as a wholesale fish company so we were pleasantly surprised to wander over while we were waiting for a reservation at a neighboring restaurant. We’ve promptly canceled our other reservation when we were greeted with such friendliness from both the hostess and the bartender and sat at the bar. We enjoyed the citrus cooler cocktail and mango beer. We started out with a delicious snapper & shrimp ceviche. I had the shrimp and grits. It was so incredible. Some of the best shrimp grits ever! My husband had the red fish special. He really enjoyed the coconut jasmine rice and the veggie sides too. Our bartender Gabe was very kind. Also there was live music: a sweet gal playing acoustic guitar and singing، she was really good! To the owner/manager: consider changing your Google business listing to restaurant category instead of wholesale fish so that it shows up when someone searches restaurants in the area. Great place، highly recommend.

Rebuilt، Resilient & Absolutely Delicious After spending the day at Fort Myers Beach، we decided to spend our last Saturday night dining on the water again and Bonita Fish Company did not disappoint. Knowing the restaurant was rebuilt after the hurricane made us even happier to support them، and they delivered an amazing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. No wait، waterfront seating، boats pulling up، birds diving for fish، and another gorgeous sunset to close out our Fort Myers trip. Our waitress، Lisa، was phenomenal. She had such a warm personality، gave us time to settle in، explained the menu perfectly، and made the entire experience feel personal and welcoming. Hearing her story about visiting Fort Myers as a child and eventually moving there as an adult made the experience even more special. We started with a freshly made tropical drink that had mango purée، pineapple juice، and orange juice refreshing and not overly sweet at all. I also ordered a virgin piña colada، and it was amazing. But the true star of the night? The Yucatan shrimp. Those shrimp with the homemade garlic herb sauce and fresh bread were absolutely unforgettable. Yes، they were messy، but every single drip running down your arm was worth it. We ordered a pound for the table and honestly could’ve ordered more. Easily one of the best dishes we had all weekend. For my entrée، I had the fried grouper tacos with Mexican street corn. The portion was great، the tacos were flavorful and fresh، and the meal was very filling. My best friend ordered the hot chicken sandwich and enjoyed it as well، especially the fresh pickled toppings. The fries could’ve been hotter، but overall the food was still excellent. Bonita Fish Company gave us another memorable waterfront dining experience in Fort Myers. Great food، relaxing views، wonderful service from Lisa، and the perfect ending to our Saturday night. We’re already looking forward to coming back.
