Dear Sunday Cafe

Recently had breakfast at the Dear Sunday Cafe and was pleasantly enjoyed my experience. Came with a friend to catch up and had been wanting to try this place. The menu selection was a bit more limited than I had expected but what we decided on was really good and flavorful. The service was good and did not feel rushed at all even though they were busy and had several members check on us and not in a negative way. Will definitely be back.

☀️🥐🥞🍳☕️ Had such a nice brunch at Dear Sunday! The atmosphere is so cute whether you sit inside or outside، and they have lots of great options on the menu. Everything was fresh and delicious، and they also have super fun latte and brunch cocktail options that made the experience even better. Such a fun، welcoming vibe — definitely a great brunch spot in Tallahassee!

So happy we have a place like this in Tallahassee! The food is amazing. Perhaps the best huevos rancheros I’ve ever had. Service was also excellent. They now take reservations and it seems like that has helped manage crowds - we got in right away without a reservation at 10ish on a Sunday. Highly recommend!

Review time: Wait: Called ahead and listened to their wait time (45min-hr on Sunday at 1020am). Drove over and parked at like 1110 and when we walked up we got seated immediately، accurate wait time! Seating: Sat outside، it was nice weather، most of the tables are covered with a triangle thick mesh. I'd say there's only a small portion not covered by the shade (maybe could get one more triangle shade in there?) It was fully packed outside but it wasn't loud، it was still relaxing and didn't feel cramped and the small trees and plants were cute. The outside portion would be wheelchair accessible definitely (didn't look inside so can't comment on it). Service: To start the hostess's in charge of seating were really nice. Got us a seat asap and we're friendly. Our waiter we had، Lance، was very friendly and helpful! The wait for food was a little long (Lots of people excited about this new place :))، but Lance made sure to keep us in the know and update us which was awesome! Very good service! Food: Okay food food food، good! We had biscuits and gravy، probably my favorite of what we got، could be a full meal، BIG biscuits، yum! Got poppers with apple butter، basically like soft croissant ball that's airy you can dip in apple butter. And then I was a bit dissapointed with my smoked salmon eggs Benedict، it's just locs with eggs Benedict. Just wasn't what I was expecting and could've been a bit warmer، but again busy. Overall، good experience and I'd try it again!

I was so happy to hear a new brunch spot was opening up in the old Paisley/Jeri's location. Its such a charming place to have a meal on a mild day (especially in spring). As with any new place in town، there was a bit of a wait but the logistics of getting your name on the list and getting notified when your table was ready were handled well. They've kept the same barebones rustic aesthetic for decor because it's the food that's the star. The menu was really well balanced and had creative options for even the most selective diner. I don't like eggs or avocado (Both brunch staples) and was still spoiled for choice. Out of everything we ordered my favorite was the unassuming herbed cream cheese served with our toast board. It was so bright and savory--perfect as a mimosa partner. Getting a table here is definitely a treat. Can't wait to go back.
