In this store، they charge whatever they want. I picked up a Maggi sauce that was marked at $4.01 on the shelf، but at checkout it rang up as $7.74. I asked the cashier to come with me to verify the price. Instead، she removed the sign and brought it to the register، then changed the price to $4.75. Even after I pointed out that the displayed price was $4.01، she still charged me $4.27. At that point، I let it go because it was frustrating dealing with the situation. I speak Spanish، and this entire interaction took place in Spanish، so there was no misunderstanding. This is not the first time this store has overcharged me. On a previous visit، I bought a small cup of gelatin dessert that ended up costing nearly $8، which I only noticed after checking my receipt at home. Many items in the store don’t have clear prices، which makes it easy for them to charge whatever they want at the register. On top of that، this store is significantly more expensive than other Mexican grocery stores. Don’t go here، or verify your ticket before paying.
