Dulce Tropical Restaurant & Cafe

Amazing food. I’m originally Venezuelan but live in London، came here to visit and the food and atmosphere really made me feel like home. I ordered a domino empanada and a cheese cachapa، they were so good I managed to eat them both alone in one sitting. I also tried the beef soup which was so delicious and on point، I couldn’t get enough. The service was amazing – huge shout out to Darwin، he had really good energy and was constantly checking if we needed anything. Overall this place is a 10/10 and I highly recommend it.

Portions for the entrees were extremely small. The soup—DRENCHED in oil. No edible at all. Salad had no croutons. The rice was absolutely not fresh. It was leftover or old rice. Empanadas and arepas look fresh. As a fellow Venezuelan، I was very disappointed. It may have been because I ordered out because my food was nothing like the dine in. The arepas and empanadas look delicious though.

We were visiting Florida and i was craving good Venezuelan food and wanted my husband from India to try this food and we absolutely LOVED IT ❤️ the employees also were so nice and had a nice chit chat with us about Venezuelan culture and food. Definitely recommend

Skip all the other places and go here. You will not be disappointed. It's small and quiet with fast service and very good food. I don't remember what it's called، but get the dish with the corn pancake. It's simply amazing. Filling and oh so tasty. Don't make the mistake of going somewhere else for your next meal.

So good I had to go back twice in my 2.5 days in Fort Lauderdale. The pabellón was amazing as were the queso & plantain empanadas. Everyone working there was very friendly and welcoming both days. Highly recommend. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in town.
