I recently stumbled upon El Cochiloco on my way home from a doctor's appointment and decided to stop in to see what Latin dishes they had to offer. I was pleasantly surprised. From the moment I walked in، I was warmly greeted and asked whether my order was for dine-in or takeout. When I mentioned it was to go، they offered me a frozen cup for water while I waited for my meal to be prepared. It was a small gesture، but it made me feel genuinely welcome. Although I was born in the United States، my family heritage is Peruvian، so I was excited to see Lomo Saltado on the menu. To my surprise، the person who greeted me was also from Peru and assured me they would make me a delicious plate to go—and they absolutely delivered. The Lomo Saltado was flavorful، well-prepared، and reminded me of the authentic flavors I grew up enjoying. What makes this restaurant unique is its blend of Latin American cuisines، offering Mexican، Venezuelan، Colombian، and Peruvian-inspired dishes all in one place. The restaurant itself may be small، but it's packed with big flavors and warm hospitality.
