Fat and Happys

One of my absolute favorite things to do when exploring a new to me city is to check out the local food spots، and I'm not talking your everyday chain places، I'm talking the spots where the owner is behind the counter and creating new concoctions themselves. We found that yesterday in Tarpon Springs at @fatandhappys_tarponsprings، while in town for the Book Festival. This spot is known for their famous Fat and Sexy Grilled Cheese. The Grilled Cheese is a perfect option for the Vegetarians! While Fat and Happy's also serves up some delicious pretzels and pizza pie، I'd highly recommend the unique Pizza Cannoli. Yeah، you heard me right. A Pizza Cannoli. Trust me on this one. It also comes with a dipping sauce that was crafted by the owner himself. You didn't hear it from me، but apparently، people buy the sauce by the tub because it's that irresistible. Whether you live local or you're in town to visit Gilded Page Bookstore just around the corner، I'd highly recommend stopping by Fat and Happy's. Shoutout to the owner and staff here for being so incredible!

We stopped in for lunch and met the owner who was very polite and outgoing. My husband got the “flat and sexy” Gluten Free grilled cheese and I had the traditional “fat and sexy” grilled cheese and both were very good. There was a special sauce on the grilled cheese that really makes it. It was a bit pricey and was $30 for 2x sandwiches and 1 can of soda. Seating is outside and very limited.

Absolutely AMAZING grilled cheese، they aren't kidding when they call it the Fat n Sexy! Beer cheese for the soft pretzel is on point. Also a pretzel that is actually soft even as it cools is a rare find. Definitely come give it a try، a wonderful place for a break when visiting Replay.

Tucked into a little but open and bright alleyway، this is truly the best grilled cheese I have ever had. The gentleman who served us did a fantastic job and checked in as well.

Great spot for quick eats in downtown Tarpon Springs. Grilled cheese has become pretty popular these days with different restaurants and their unique takes but this is the best. It’s the most delicious، tangy، tongue-tantalizing cheese sandwiched between buttery toasted hunks of heaven. It may not be on my diet but it was worth every calorie. Come try it for yourself. My husband ordered a pepperoni pizza cannoli. It was so good he ordered a second one.
