Gita Food Store

Store is clean each time I visit. The staff are polite، and professional، they have a wide variety of items، including pickles، boiled peanuts، pickled eggs، and pickled sausages. They have a sign that informs that they sell fresh Cuban Sandwiches، as well as wine. A large variety of cold drinks. I appreciate that prices are clearly marked.

Love the family run local store! Unfortunately the dive hotel next to the location steers folks away. Business itself and staff are awesome، sandwiches and Jamaica Patty's are awesome، wide variety and it's great having a convenience store in walking distance in this gem of a neighborhood!

This place is ripping off elder people، and refuse to give itemized receipts. My father paid $14.72 for 2 small bags of chips، 2 cans of soda، and a credit card convenience fee of 0.41 cents for using a debit card. Dad and my daughter stopped here on their way home from fishing trip (granddad & granddaughter) this morning. 1 - 3oz bag of Fritos 1 - 2oz bag of Doritos 2 - cans of Sprite We couldn’t make sense of this…so I went to this exact location today and paid roughly $10 for these exact same items plus a Vitamin water and pack of peanut butter cookies. But still paid a 0.41 cent convenience fee. We will never come here again. And if you appreciate your hard earned dollars I wouldn’t recommend you come here either.

this is definitely a hidden gem in Tampa. with sandwich shops on almost every street corner، the Gita stands out! There is just something about her sandwiches. I have worked across the street from Gita for almost 7 months and i go here at least 2-3 times a week، whether its a breakfast sandwich or a honey cuban ( my favorite) you can't go wrong with The Gita. Trust me! Its amazing!

As you can clearly see their hours show closing at 10:30pm everyday. I approach the door at 9:53pm and two of the owners stand before me saying they’re closed. I said، “oh but I thought you closed at 10:00pm?” Little did I know they’re actually supposed to close at 10:30pm، and the owner looks at me and says “yea، 10pm.” I said “it’s 9:53pm…………” he says “yeah، 5 mins، 10 mins” whatever that’s supposed to mean.. and just denies me service. Incredibly unprofessional.
