We happily came across the Good Luck Cat Cafe while looking for a coffee shop to hang at before heading to the airport. While no coffee was actually had، we were treated to a unique experience that included playing with some pretty sweet kitties and supporting a good cause (Lady Luck Animal Rescue). Seated in an unsuspecting building on the upper floor، you’re greeted by a witty and joyful shop manager who’s first job is to keep the cats from escaping your entrance and then to gives a thorough rundown on the place. First impressions were of course all the happy cats and kittens running around in their respective empire of cat trees، wheels، and tunnels. For a space that has more cats than people at most times، this place is super clean. It is immediately clear that the people who are caring for the cats absolutely love what they do. Their mission is to help abused، abandoned، and homeless cats، which they do by providing all veterinary care including spayed/neuter، and microchipping with an adoption fee that includes a home visit. The cafe also provides community service hours for fostering kittens and educates the public on responsible pet ownership The cafe itself is more like a snack bar which they admit themselves and say to help yourself to while you’re there، accompanied by a “price list” which is actually suggested donations that all go towards the rescue. So if there had to be a con، it would be that if you’re hoping for a real latte or iced mocha then look elsewhere -but if you want a unique experience and to support a good cause، then definitely check it out. It’s free to enter and has ample street parking.Fair warning: if you bring your kids، prepare to stay a while and also you may get talked into an adoption the longer you linger 😉
