Island Root Kava Bar Abacoa

This is hands down one of the of the best Kava bars I have been to. The atmosphere is very chill، as I came in Kayla provided exceptional service and was so incredibly informative and friendly. She explained the options and even let me taste test before I committed - something that was a first experience for me at a Kava bar. Allana the manager came in later during my stay and was absolutely wonderful، made sure we were enjoying our time and was very attentive. I can’t stress how much I can’t wait to come back here based on the exceptional service. The kava itself was great، the place was clean as well as the restroom. Looking forward to becoming a regular during my visits to Abacoa.

Woman behind the counter was really rude. I asked for an item that I saw on their menu online. She said they didn’t have it، but then corrected me on the name of the item to prove a point I guess? I asked for exactly what was listed on the menu though. Then made me feel like it would be more money that I would want to pay. Which is weird since I asked for it and clearly saw price online. Very odd interaction. Will definitely not go back in future. Maybe she was just having a bad morning.

I opted for a traditional kava drink، and it was expertly prepared، with a rich، earthy flavor that was surprisingly enjoyable. The staff made sure I felt comfortable and even suggested some great pairings to enhance the experience. What stood out most was the sense of community. Patrons were chatting and laughing، making it a perfect spot to unwind and connect with others. Overall، the combination of excellent service، delicious kava، and a friendly atmosphere makes this bar a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning!

Luke and Allana are among the best bartenders of any type of bar out there. They both go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and satisfied. After a couple of visits they even remember what I order. Come here for a good time!
