First tried them at the first annual italian festival in Wellington in 2025 and couldn’t remember the name and have been searching for them ever since. Had to wait til 2026 italian festival to get my hands on the best beef sandwich I’ve had in my life. I love a good Philly cheesesteak (or just a thin shredded beef، cheese and onions sandwich in general)، I could eat one every day of my life if it were possible and not get tired of them. I’ve had bad ones I’ve had good ones and the ones they make here are GREAT ones. The beef is flavorful and juicy enough to stand up on its own، not dry at all like some can get with thinly shredded beef. It’s phenomenal، plain and simple. They put a healthy amount of cheese، to where it doesn’t overpower the beef but you get a beautiful cheese pull with every bite. The meat to cheese ratio is perfect. The caramelized onions are the icing on this cake، but what sends this sandwich to the next level is their bread choice. It’s a nice soft doughy roll that melts in your mouth along with all the other accompaniments. It isn’t dry by any stretch but it also holds together very well and serves as the perfect vessel to deliver the goods home. My mouth is watering just thinking about it writing this review. If you see them out there، do yourself a favor and go get one. You won’t regret it.
