First، let me say I've had bad experiences with shady mechanics that fix one thing and break something else so you're back at the shop the following week، so I've performed 95% of the maintenance on my cars over the past 40 years. Because of my past experiences، I don't trust mechanics as a whole، but I have a Toyota Highlander and my AC went. Turns out it had a leaking evaporator coil which means the dashboard needed to be REMOVED، (picture below) front seats removed، A HUGE JOB and too much for me! You also need experience to do this، this is no easy task! Not only did Jose beat everyone's price SIGNIFIGANTLY، but he also got the job done quickly، AND HERE'S THE AMAZING PART! I ended up getting the wrong part and Jose improvised without telling me، refurbished my old part for $10 with new internal parts and good run through، HE DIDN'T CHARGE ME THE $10 HE SPENT، and saved me $200 that HE WAS GOING TO CHARGE ME FOR LABOR? Have you ever seen a mechanic improvise and voluntarily FORFIET $200 that he could have charged me for labor so he could finish the job in one day because he knew I needed the car the next day and on top of it all SAVE ME $300 total? (I was able to return the part and get $100 back) WOW JOSE، not only are you a 5-star mechanic، but you reminded me that good، honest، people are still out there and I'm a customer for life، I will always call Jose FIRST and refer everyone I know.
