La Costa on Rock Island absolutely blew us away! From the moment we walked in، we knew this place was special. The restaurant is stunning inside—beautifully decorated، warm، inviting، and honestly Pinterest-worthy. The food was phenomenal. In fact، it was the best Mexican food Michael and I have ever had. We ordered the chips and salsa، and they were worth every penny. The chips tasted homemade، and the fresh green salsa was incredible. They also offer two different house-made hot sauces، both so good that I bought some to take home. I ordered a platter with chicken، shrimp، sausage، and steak، and every single protein was perfectly seasoned and grilled. Nothing was overlooked. The refried beans were hands-down the best I've ever had، topped with a little Mexican cheese that took them to another level. The Mexican rice was equally outstanding. Our waitress، Jennifer، was fantastic. She knew the menu inside and out، explained everything clearly، answered every question، and provided exceptional service. She was knowledgeable، friendly، and attentive without being intrusive. She even offered us samples of their margaritas so we could find one we'd enjoy on a future visit. We didn't indulge since it was lunchtime، but we'll definitely be trying one next time. The prices were extremely fair for the quality and portion sizes. I couldn't even make it home before I started telling people about this restaurant. That's how impressed I was. Somehow، I've been sleeping on La Costa، but that won't happen again. If you're looking for authentic، flavorful Mexican food، outstanding service، and a beautiful atmosphere، do yourself a favor and visit La Costa. This wasn't just a good meal—it was one of the best restaurant experiences we've had in a long time. We will absolutely be back!
