I am not exaggerating when I say this is my favorite place. I wish I could come and just get coffee، yet I never can because the food is just too good. (The aoili on the breakfast sandwich is unparalleled!) Every new coffee I try becomes my new favorite drink. There are no negatives، and if I had to find something it would it would be the stress of having to decide what to order between the best coffee، food and pastries. The atmosphere is awesome; with a wide array of seating indoors. And now for the best part - the outdoor space. There are few، if any، like it in all of NE Florida. It’s a lush، tropical dream and there is no where better to sit and read، work، or hang with friends. I am so lucky and grateful to have this incredible option that is hands down my go to spot!

Absolutely loved this space and the food and drinks. Sampled the house blend، the salted vanilla latte، and the egg/cheese sandwich…all were top-notch. Huge patio area، really sharp design and comfortable spaces inside، plus an outrageously clean and updated restroom. AND friendly & hospitable baristas! On top of that، a minimalistic yet beautiful design on the cups. Everything about this place was speaking my language. Have no clue how a rating under 5 stars is possible.

The drinks were second to none. The prices were extremely reasonable for the best coffee in North Florida. The food was sooo delicious! I literally can’t drink any other coffee besides Mechanism now. They’ve ruined me. Love love love this place! Amazing outdoor space as well!

Nice indoor and outdoor seating area. Coffee is excellent، always have seasonal flavors available. Pastry case is well stocked and have good flavor. Staff is very friendly.

Mechanism، congratulations on the second location located in e town! Everyone I encountered at this location was extremely friendly، warm and welcoming، including the customers in line with me. And now you are wondering - why 4/5 stars and not 5/5. So، let’s get straight into it. Iced chai، location، April specials، customer service، indoor & outdoor vibes، merch، - all 5/5. Price and hours - 3/5. Closing at 2pm - that’s hella early to close both locations. Would love to pull up to either location and work remotely. We cannot accomplish this task when a cute and tasty coffee shop with loads of natural lighting closes right after lunch. Real honesty: We love you guys so much we want more of you، that’s all. Second - $1 upcharge for oat and almond milk. Guys، why are we still doing this in 2026 - Especially if the price of the drink is already high enough to include a milk swap for those out there who are lactose intolerant. Trust me، most of us aren’t trying to be difficult or boujee، we just don’t want to be running to the bathroom in your establishment and embarrassing ourselves. I ordered 2 Small iced drinks. With a $2 tip، it came to a lil over $20 and some change. Thats wild if you ask me. I could order a whole meal for twenty bucks. I took my drinks outside on that swagalicious patio though and drank 1/2 of each before peelin out before close. I did enjoy mechanism’s cute space for a good 10 mins before leaving. My iced cinnamon chai April special - MF one of the Best chai’s I’ve ever had! No joke. This girl had some kick! She was spicy and I liked it! Loads of flavor. Iced lucky latte: I would not order again but was a very cute and fun try with the lucky charms on top. I actually did not finish this one and happily finished my chai. I did not taste any pistachio flavor in the lucky latte but again، she was pretty and the cold foam was quite delicious. I would absolutely come again and support by ordering only 1 drink next time mainly for price purposes. I do highly recommend their chai if you love a true chai flavor where you can taste the spice and it isn’t watered down like a lot of coffee shops like to do. The chai was a great quality chai tea. Again، that was one of the best chai’s I’ve ever ordered in jacksonville ever. I was very pleased with it. If you catch yourself wanting to try a new coffee shop and you are near the e town neighborhood، (and it’s before 2pm) swing in and give mechanism a chance. I loved the staff and it’s a warm and welcoming atmosphere with all of the gorgeous natural light coming in the shop.
