DO NOT USE COLETTE MEYER OR MEYER LAW FIRM I had an extremely negative experience with Colette Meyer / Meyer Law Firm. I am a New York resident، and my cousin passed away in Florida. Because I was out of state، I feel I was taken advantage of. The firm charged excessively high fees and billed in time increments that appeared grossly exaggerated. They also made repeated errors in filings submitted to the Florida probate court، which caused unnecessary delays and additional stress during an already difficult time. After terminating their services due to these issues، Ms. Meyer attempted to pursue legal action against me and the estate for approximately $21،000 in fees. Once my new Attorney and myself were ready to move forward to go in front of the judge، Colette withdrew her motion to compel the payment of fees. Based on my experience، I would strongly caution others—especially out-of-state clients—to thoroughly research before engaging this firm. They took full advantage of a family grieving. I cannot comprehend how she puts her head on the pillow at night. Shame On You Colette Meyer!

Just when I thought the art of effective listening، empathy and legal acumen were a thing of the past. I researched and found what I've come to understand as a Godsend in the estate planning of my Late Mother. Whether it be the simple creation of a trust to negotiating your best interest in defense of contentious family members that threaten litigation، I would not make a move without the counsel of Meyer Law and I can assure anyone looking for sound representation would be wise in following suit!

Our Bank invited us to have our “ Last Will “ reviewed by Ms. Collette K. Meyer، ESQ. of Meyer Law Firm، in Jupiter ، Florida، several years ago… Since we are Permanent Residents of the United States a different set of rules apply to us. Ms. Meyer، reviewed our “ Last Will “ set up by another Lawyer which we paid for and discovered، that what we needed for our special situation under US Law is not reflected in this Will at all. We ask for a TRUST and received a Will، which goes through Probate. What a surprise. We had an initial meeting with Ms. Meyer to discuss the details of what we wanted in this “ TRUST “. After that، additional meetings with reviews of the TRUST took place in her office. Along the way we met several members of her team. We were always treated with courtesy، respect & professionalism when visiting the Law Firm. Ms. Meyer contacted the Brokerage Houses by mail on our behalf to make the necessary changes on each account according with the Trust . We ، of course are very pleased with the final document which was produced by the Meyer Law Firm ، knowing we are in good hands is a good feeling، and that our TRUST is set up according with our last wishes. I have been in business for more than 48 years and I have worked with numerous lawyers in multiple states. I can tell if an attorney is familiar with the legal issue at hand or not. When I first started in business، I took for granted the attorney knew what they were doing. Not true، most attorneys are learning on your dime. NOT Ms. Meyer. Ms. Meyer is both experienced and knowledgeable، has approached the problem before، knows how to solve the problem because she knows the law as well or better than who you or she is opposing. Additionally، her documents cover all contingencies. I have referred my clients to Ms. Meyer and none of my referrals have been unhappy with her services. I suggest you give her the opportunity of a conversation and decide yourself. If you want an expert on your side who listens and knows how to solve your problem(s)، hire Ms. Meyer.
