Paddywagon Dunedin

I stopped into Paddywagon Irish Pub the other night planning to have one Guinness، relax for a few minutes، and then head home. Several excellent conversations and one perfectly poured Guinness later، I began seriously considering whether I was Irish and simply hadn’t checked my ancestry report recently. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighborhood Irish pub—comfortable، welcoming، and filled with people who seem genuinely happy to be there. The bartender was fantastic، with a great personality، excellent service، and the rare ability to make everyone feel like a regular even if it’s their first visit. One thing I also appreciate is that they stay open until 3:00 AM. Not that I stayed until 3:00 AM، of course. I merely found great comfort knowing that if I suddenly felt the need to discuss world events، sports، or the mysteries of life over a Guinness at 2:47 in the morning، Paddywagon would be there for me. Great service، great atmosphere، and a terrific place to unwind after a long day. If you’re in Dunedin and looking for a friendly local pub، this place is absolutely worth a visit. Five stars. The Guinness was excellent، the bartender was outstanding، and I left in a significantly better mood than when I arrived—which is probably the highest compliment you can give an Irish pub.

I gotta say the owner of this business is awesome. The bar is fantastic. He originally called me out to do some electrical work so I could fix his AC at his home and he told me to come check it out. I will definitely be staying in touch. Awesome vibe!

I can’t even give these guys a high enough rating. This place was fantastic. You could just feel the kindness of the owner and his son. Dena and Frank were just amazing. They were so kind when I brought in my elderly mother on St. Patrick’s Day morning. We got there 25 minutes before the opening time and they told us to come on in. That is what I call doing really good business. Thank you for the hospitality and charm!!!! Oh and the beer was good and cold!!!! SLAINTE!

The bartender Kass was super nice and attentive. The music was on point. First time ive been at this location and I liked the fact that there was a young relatively attractive looking crowd vibing here. Wish there was a second pool table but all else was a great experience. We shall be back. Xo

IMMACULATE! One of if not the cleanest bar I've been to. This place is excellent! The owner to everyone that works here is not only friendly but they pour and serve a perfect Guinness. Plenty of space. Nice and cool inside. Touch Tunes، Dart Boards، and a Pool Table. Indoor and outdoor seating too. I might just need to go here again today.
