Poor Pauls Pourhouse

First time visiting the Pourhouse in February 2026. An absolutely legendary dive bar. Recently reopened after an ownership transition، it’s tidied up but still wonderfully gritty. The barman Newsome is Awesome - classic dive bar friendly and great pours. Loved our Monday night here!

Best dive in Tally! Easy to support a place that’s been doing it right since 1976!

Poor Paul’s is the pinnacle of what a dive bar should be. Everyone knows your name and it looks the same it did the day it was built، only with a layer of dust and cig smoke for added authenticity. Darts and pool to stay entertained. No better place to have a cold one and go back in time.

The new management is terrible. Drink prices are insane، the atmosphere is now clearly catered towards young college kids. Watched them throw someone out for vomiting in the bathroom toilet (where else would one do so at a dive bar?). If you loved Poor Paul’s back in the day this is a far cry from what it used to be. Prepare to be utterly disappointed and pay far more than you ever have at Paul’s.

Bouncer turned me away because he thought my ID was fake and had some make-believe، nonsensical reason as to why. If you’re from out of town، don’t waste your time here.
