The food didn't last 5 minutes in my plate.... it was great... if you're looking for southern food check this place out. Great service and awesome food. I will be back

Had a chance to stop by and try this new place out. Drive thru one side order your food and head to the other side to pick it up. The window is open with the great smell of southern cooking coming thru. The service was fast and freshly prepared. The chicken fried steak was excellent. Side was like mom used to make. I will definitely be stopping by again when in the neighborhood.

Located across from the skinners dairy estate Not many places left where you can get home style food like this. Really a great addition to the neighborhood.

*Note. This rating is strictly about the food. The owner or whoever took the order was absolutely wonderful!* Unfortunately، aside from great customer service.. the food was extremely disappointing. Lacking everything from flavor to presentation. The mash potatoes and gravy were instant from a box/bag and tasted like nothing was added. The hamburger patty was small and hidden under the pool gravy. No distinct flavor. But wasn’t terrible. The Mac n cheese may have been the worst I’ve had. The lack of cheese and any seasoning shows in the photo and taste. Wish them success but it was one time visit for me.

Did I just find my new breakfast spot? I think so! Sweet Southern Skillet is an unassuming little place you might drive right past without realizing it's a restaurant. It looks like a small barn on the corner of Bowden and Parental Home Road. They opened on 11/10/25 and are right around the corner from my office I've been passing by for weeks but glad I stopped in this morning. I ordered the caramel swirl iced coffee 10 out of 10. The perfect balance of coffee caramel and cinnamon. I also had the smoked sausage grits bowl which was another 10 out of 10. The sausage was plentiful and full of flavor، the eggs were cooked perfectly، and the grits were fluffy. I will definitely be back to support. And the best part? It's not just a breakfast spot. The owner is a Baker and has a huge selection of sweet treats، plus lunch and dinner options as well. I'm going to post a menu I found on their Facebook page in the photos. I highly recommend checking this place out.
